A private ceremony for two at San Francisco City Hall where Alan and Laurindo registered their marriage legally on 20 February 2018, exactly 15 years after they met.

circular Quay to athol Beach

Guests gathered at Circular Quay to travel across Sydney Harbour by boat to Athol Hall in Mosman - a heritage building that was once a hotel and dance pavilion - for a sunset wedding celebration.

Ceremony

Susan Moylan-Coombs offered a warm welcome to country and smoke ceremony in recognition of the traditional owners of the land - Borogegel people of the Gai-mariagal Nation. Jackie Wolf officiated an intimate ceremony where Alan and Laurindo publicly declared their love surrounded by loved ones in the middle Sydney Harbourside bushland.

On the lawn

Live drumming from Tina Havelock Stevens and Kwek Shan Ming (‘You Shook Me All Night Long’ by AC/DC) rang in the start of the evening’s festivities: sunset drinks on Athol Lawn.
